Movemental exists because the people whose wisdom you encounter here have spent decades earning the right to say what they say. Their ideas have been formed through years of study, experience, experimentation, failure, reflection, relationships, and practice. That wisdom lives in their books, podcasts, videos, sermons, articles, and teaching.
We believe technology can help extend the reach of that wisdom. But it should never replace the person who formed it. That distinction matters increasingly in an age when AI can produce convincing content in seconds. These guidelines explain where we believe AI can be genuinely helpful, and where we believe clear guardrails are necessary to protect human authorship, intellectual integrity, and the trust of our readers.
We use AI to help build, maintain, and improve Movemental platforms. This may include coding, organizing content, improving search and discoverability, supporting SEO, personalizing aspects of the reading experience, and other behind-the-scenes functions that make the platform more useful.
Our authors and team may use AI tools to discover sources, survey literature, explore connections across large bodies of ideas, and verify facts. AI can accelerate research, but the interpretation, judgment, argument, and conclusions that emerge from that research remain the work of the author.
Turning recordings into text. Verbatim work, not summary. Unclear passages get marked as unclear rather than guessed at.
AI may assist with light editorial tasks: grammatical errors, clarity, minor refinements, headings, metadata, and linking.
A reader asks a question on a leader's site and gets an answer assembled only from what that leader actually wrote, with the book and chapter attached so she can go read it herself. It does not pretend to be the author. It does not invent quotations. Asked about something the author never addressed, it says so.
Digital books and transformative courses on Movemental may include AI-powered tutors designed to deepen engagement with the author's ideas. These tutors are grounded in the author's published work and are intended to help readers ask better questions, explore key concepts, make connections, and apply what they are learning.
Not ever, not lightly edited, not "as a first draft" that survives to publication. Every word that goes out under a person's name is theirs. This is the refusal that costs us the most, and the one that makes everything else mean anything.
No simulated presence, no machine standing in for a mentor. Formation happens between people.
If a use makes it easier not to be in the room, it's out, no matter how well it performs.
Scenius
One of the reasons we built Movemental as a network — a scenius band — is that the people here know one another. They have read each other's work, sat in each other's sessions, and built relationships over years. That means something in the age of AI: we vouch for one another. When a movement leader publishes here, their work does not appear in isolation. They are part of a community that knows their voice and understands the body of work from which their ideas emerge.
This is real wisdom, formed by real people, in real places, through real experience.
